[He had. Originally texted to try to make it clearer that Dirk and Jake won't need their help since that's kind of the pretense he'd originally asked her under but. Maybe. He doesn't have to?? Maybe he's overthinking this.]
1000000% huh?
well it'll be a good chance for you to get to know jake better, then. he was one of the first friends i made here, after all, so i know you'll have fun.
also hey i've kind of got a random question but if we're figuring that it'd be around november in earth time... what do you think about trying to put together a kotatsu or something? i'm sure we could come up with the blanket using the fabricator.
it's really not the weather for it here, yeah, but i think it might be like... a comfort? to people who might be used to that kind of ordinary thing around this time of year.
haha i can see why it might be boring if you're by yourself, but i think as long as you're with friends... it's a really good experience.
it's easy to get caught up in all this futuristic stuff and forget the nice things about home. i mean, it's not like we can stop looking for a way home, but if we can make people feel better while we're here, i think that's a goal worth pursuing
i think we've been doing a pretty good job at making this place feel nice i know that lots of people make jokes about all the silly projects that people do but i think those projects give the base more characters? so it looks less like a place we're just currently stuck at until further notice and more like a place where a bunch of friends live and work together
i agree. the more we can do to make this place seem less like a prison, the better off we'll all be
besides... i'm not sure how comfortable i am with this whole terraforming mission, anyway. it seems dangerous to modify a planet that obviously has intelligent life on it already, you know?
especially since the planet seems like it might be intelligent life itself idk if we'd even be able to go far with the mission even if we tried a lot of things don't want us here when we haven't even done too much yet so imagine what ti would be like if we actively terraformed!!
hmmmmm idk!! we won't really know until we're in that kind of situation although i hope that we won't be? if it's only for a few minutes then people who might want to go home may not make it through on time
of course i don't see why it wouldn't be even back home you have no idea if people are going to stay in your life for the longterm or not would you not get to know your neighbor just because there's a chance they might move? or would you decide not to get close to a classmate because there's a chance you might never see each other again after graduation? life is filled with people coming and going but instead of focusing so much on the going, shouldn't you enjoy the time you have together?? you're going to waste a lot of opportunities otherwise!
i guess you're right it's just hard for me when i know that if i get close to someone from another dimension or world or whatever i'll have to leave them behind and cause them pain like you
but ummm what i really want to say is that life is always unexpected and everything you knew can change at a moment's notice which i think is something we both knew before we ever came to iniidae so if we worry about one hypothetical situation we'd have to worry about all of them
and i think all of your friends would want to get to know you better too even though we need to say goodbye one day
you're really important to me, too i almost wish i could stay here in some ways, bring the rest of my classmates as bad as things can be here i think in some ways it might be better
thanks number 2 it's ok if i rely on you to keep my head on straight, right?

it's not really the temperature for it but i don't think something like that has stopped this base before
no subject
did you and your mom ever do that?
no subject
i also used one with my team a lot
senpai kept saying it was a waste to just sit under it doing nothing but i think he enjoyed it the most

i don't know. maybe we'll find a way to get home before it becomes too much of an issue.
if we did find a way to go home.... would you take it? even if it means never solving the other mysteries of this planet?
no subject
if i can still help out here then it's what i should do
and then once everyone is nice and happy here i'll go home

there's a lot left unfinished at home i have to take care of
do you think it's still worth connecting with people when i know i can't afford to stay here once we find a way to go back?
